2nd Degree Yellow Belt (Half Yellow/Half White Belt)
Prerequisite amount of classes: 20 to 30 class minimum to receive your Gold Stripe (Attendance Stripe)
This is the material you need to test from White Belt to 2nd Degree Yellow Belt (also known as Half Yellow Belt). At this point you will start to earn different color stripes for the material you have perfected. Stripe testing can be done several different ways.
- The week prior to a testing date we will pre-test/stripe test the entire class.
- If a student shows that he/she knows the material and continuously demonstrates the technique with the proper attitude he/she may be awarded a stripe right on the spot or given at the end of class.
- A student can earn stripes faster by attending bootcamps.
- A student can earn a stripe during a private lesson.
Note: 2nd Degree Black Belt and above are only allowed to stripe unless special permission is given by Master Greg Hussey
You will be required to Achieve 5 Total Stripes in order to test:
- Attendance: Gold Stripe
- Ideology, Protocol, & Philosophy; Q&A; Tie Obi: White Stripe
- Basics: Orange Stripe
- Kicks: Green Stripe
- Break Falls & Shoulder Rolls: Black Stripe

Master Greg Hussey has been training since 1984 In United States Black Cat Kenpo Karate. He is currently a 6th Degree Black Belt and part of the USBCKF Board of Directors. 2016 he was inducted into the Soke Little john Davis Black Belt Hall of Fame.
